    We are looking for someone to lead our Accident Benefit claims team in Markham location, merging technical knowledge with a customer centric focus. This role incorporates strategic planning as well as ensuring that appropriate procedures, processes, and tools are embed and performed by the team. The successful candidate must make data driven decisions to lead, while being responsible for the technical and people leadership within the Healthcare claims units.

    This individual will have strong people leadership and engagement skills, validated execution capability, while showing initiative and creativity. The candidate must demonstrate the strategic approach required to take our claim results to the next level.

    What you'll do:

  • The core function of this role is to lead a team of accident benefits claim adjusters.
  • This position works closely with other FLM's to establish and implement AB claim strategies that will mitigate risk, rehabilitate claimants, and provide an excellent customer experience.
  • Responsible for the technical, performance and professional development of their team.
  • Provides input on technical training content / programs.
  • Build, plan, and implement claims management processes that support appropriate claim resolution.
  • Responsible for addressing customer services inquiries from brokers, insureds, vendors, and/or legal representatives.
  • Working with other departments on special initiatives and projects, provide input on project committee and steering committees, as required.
