MACKENZIE HEALTH LONG TERM CARE

Position Title:
Long Term Care -Activity Assistant


Term: 15 week contract


Reports To:
Program Manager, LTC


This is a position for an individual who:

• Enjoys visiting with older adults
• Is interested in and willing to learn about issues relating to aging
• Is able to work as part of a team
• Demonstrates good interpersonal qualities
• Is patient and sensitive to people with disabilities
• Customerfocused attitude, with the ability to understand, anticipate and identify customer needs while using information to provide the bestindividualized service

Responsibilities
Your responsibility is to assist the home in preventing senior's social isolation by:

• Coordinating and facilitating both in-person and virtual visits for residents and families
• Transport residents to and from activity programs
• Organize and conduct activity programs
• Provide support to residents during activit programs
• Assist with preparation and cleanup
