Description
Supports the daytoday functioning of the Kidco Kitchen department by providing highquality administrative support to the Chief Food Ambassador and the Kidco Kitchen Operations Manager
Coordinates and prepares correspondence, including notices, event summaries, announcements, and menu packages
Communication with suppliers, uploading website material, and maintaining accurate databases
Manages cost tracking sheets, and all other kitchenrelated documents Collecting orders from daycares for processing Ensuring submitted orders are accurate and align with operational requirements Placing weekly orders with different suppliers in Canada and the US Communication with all supplier representatives Regarding late/changing delivery dates due to holidays, credits, upholding quality standards, changing pricing, Sysco contract pricing, changes to ingredients (changing item codes) Keeping track of supplier contracts Tracking food costs using Excel Tracking family events and curriculum activities, ensuring the required food is ordered on time Ensuring kitchens and chefs have all the materials they need to function effectively Weekly creation of allergy labels using mail merge and Excel Keep appliance database and appliance repair status updated Ad hoc requests are required from time to time
Position Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Suite Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required Extremely organized and detailoriented Comfortable with executing repetitive tasks Aptitude for numbers Enjoys working in a fastpaced environment managing multiple priorities with conflicting deadlines
Experience with food distribution operations preferred


Job Specification
Successful completion of a Diploma or Degree in Business or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen and respond appropriately to client, children, and staff needs, as well as communicate with tact and diplomacy
Excellent organization skills to prioritize workload in order to achieve results in a constantly changing environment
Possession of excellent mathematical and accounting skills
Must be able to design and accomplish accurate record keeping
High energy level with a strong work ethic
Current driver's license (preferred)
Food industryrelated experience or certification as an asset
