    As the primary local liaison among stakeholders, the Project Manager requires meticulous planning, cost control, and effective communication to ensure project objectives are achieved within set timelines and budgets. This person must possess excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction project management, with proficiency in project management software and a strong understanding of development processes.     Your Key Deliverables

  • Act as the primary liaison between all stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and the Toronto office, to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring that project objectives are achieved within the set deadlines.
  • Monitor project budgets, analyze costs, and implement effective cost control measures to ensure that the project remains within the allocated budget.
  • Oversee all aspects of construction activities, including on-site supervision, quality control, and adherence to safety regulations, to ensure the smooth execution of the project.
  • Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, suppliers, and regulatory authorities, to ensure their cooperation and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them, ensuring that the project progresses without major disruptions.
  • Prepare regular progress reports, including project updates, budget analysis, and risk assessments, and present them to the Ontario office and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement best practices, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the organization.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of commercial / residential construction practices, codes, and regulations to ensure compliance and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, including contractors and consultants, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Must Haves

  • 5+ years of project management experience in the high-rise commercial or residential construction industry, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in project management software, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, and a strong understanding of cost control, drawings/specs, scheduling, and planning methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the development process, including zoning regulations, permits, and approvals to effectively manage project-related activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A professional demeanor, integrity, and a commitment to upholding ethical standards in the workplace.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and inspire team members.

  • Relevant certifications or additional training in project management will be an asset.
