About the role:

The Strategic Affairs Manager will coordinate internal activities to support the management of key strategic organisational relationships, and lead the planning and delivery of the Foundation's participation in key strategic events (such as those linked to multilateral developments) to support the organisation's mission and standard-setting agenda.


The Strategic Affairs and Capacity Building team is growing rapidly, therefore roles and responsibilities will evolve; however, core responsibilities are outlined below.


Key responsibilities:


  • Manage the internal process for handling key strategic relationships critical to the success of the Foundation, IASB and ISSB, and coordinate with internal colleagues and stakeholder leads across the organisation to ensure highquality relationship management. This engagement will encompass a range of external stakeholders around the world, at a national, regional and international level, from industry and the accounting, investment, regulatory, standardsetting and sustainability communities.
  • Daily management of the Foundation's international strategic affairs and capacity building strategy, including monitoring developments and coordinating activities that are relevant to the strategy.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of the Foundation's participation in key strategic, multistakeholder events around the world, eg United Nations Conference of Parties (COP).
  • Undertake other ad hoc tasks as required in a fastpaced strategic affairs role.

Skills, experience and qualifications sought:


Essential:


  • Previous experience in a relevant international event, project or relationship management role.
  • Demonstrable understanding of capital markets, corporate financial / sustainability reporting matters and the landscape in which IFRS Standards operate.
  • Enthusiasm for entrepreneurial environments; comfort with ambiguity and fastchanging conditions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and diplomatically with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including at a senior level, to deliver positive outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and to maintain a high level of attention to detail, even when working under pressure.
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrable understanding of—and commitment to—the Foundation's mission.
  • Willingness to undertake international travel as required.

Preferred:


  • Relevant graduatelevel qualification.
  • Experience in using CRM software (eg Salesforce).
  • Proficiency in a language other than English.


The IFRS Foundation operates under a multi-location model with offices around the world; early mornings and late nights will be required from time to time.

There is also flexibility in the time when you do your work during the day.
