Position Summary

Under the direction of Facilities Services Management, the incumbent provides excellent customer service by performing a wide variety of tasks related to the areas of installations, repair and maintenance on structures, facilities, furniture and equipment.

Provides assistance to other maintenance workers as required. Other duties include; event set-ups and take down.
Work requires initiative, judgement and event coordination skills.
The incumbent may also perform other duties related to and assigned by the Facilities Services Department.

Type of Experience

The incumbent must have a vast knowledge in a variety of areas pertaining to the construction and maintenance of buildings and contents.

The incumbent must have extensive knowledge of the maintenance and repair of all door related hardware including locks and the cutting of new keys.

The incumbent must be skilled at troubleshooting and performing repairs and familiar with the safe use of power tools and hand tools.

The incumbent is expected to be able to evaluate and place in priority work that has to be completed, making the most efficient use of time and resources.

The incumbent must demonstrate basic computer literacy skills.
