Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing data platforms, ensuring seamless integration and performance across various systems. This role involves working with large datasets, developing analytical solutions, and supporting data-driven decision-making processes. The Platform Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions using cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
Duties
- Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse solutions utilizing tools such as SQL Server, Oracle, and Hadoop.
- Manage and optimize big data platforms including Apache Hive, Spark, and Hadoop ecosystems.
- Develop and implement ETL processes using Informatica, Shell Scripting, Bash (Unix shell), and VBA to ensure efficient data flow.
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines leveraging AWS cloud services and Spark for analytics processing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform database design, analysis, and tuning to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Support the deployment of analytics solutions using Python, Java, SQL, and other programming languages.
- Participate in Agile development cycles to deliver continuous improvements and updates to data platforms.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary enhancements for optimal operation.
Skills
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services for scalable data solutions.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, SQL (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle), and Shell Scripting for data processing tasks.
- Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Apache Hive, Spark, and Informatica.
- Knowledge of Data Warehouse architecture and database design principles.
- Familiarity with analytics tools and techniques for deriving insights from large datasets.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies for project management and development cycles.
- Excellent analysis skills combined with problem-solving capabilities to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
- Experience with VBA programming for automation tasks is a plus.
