Job Summary:

The successful applicant will work as part of a team responsible for ensuring the end product meets drawing specifications and customer requirements.

Essential Functions:

Verify incoming, inprocess and final product meets specifications by conducting visual inspection and dimensional verification compared to Engineering drawings and other technical specifications.
Clearly document nonconformities for effective understanding of the issue and decisionmaking.
Ensure nonconforming material is quarantined and escalated for disposition according to Problem Management processes.
Collect data in electronic systems according to documented Inspection Test Plans.

Job Qualifications:

vision (unaided or corrected).

Correct colour recognition.
Mechanical aptitude.
Proficiency with precision measuring equipment, schematics, blueprints and 3D CAD models.
Good working knowledge of welding, fabrication processes and controls.
Familiarity with special processes (ex. plating, painting, heat treating).
Mechanical Technologist diploma (or considerable related work experience).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be able to obtain a Controlled Goods clearance.
Must be able to obtain a NATO SECRET clearance.

Preference given for experience with**:_
AS9100 Quality Certification and AS9102 First Article Inspections.
Coordinate-Measuring Machines (CMM), especially FARO Arms.
Computer-Aided Design (CAD), especially with SolidWorks.
Infor Visual ERP software.
Measurement Systems Analysis.
Experience in a Manufacturing environment.
Hands on experience with measurement instruments (Caliper, micrometer, scales, circ tape etc.)
