The
Maintenance Planner works within the Maintenance team and works in close collaboration with the members of the Maintenance Team and and other departments of the Rossdown Natural Foods.

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for the planning and performance of sound and effective maintenance planning practices in terms of the preventive, corrective and modification maintenance.


Responsibilities:


Critical Part/Inventory Requests

  • Verifies which critical parts are in the inventory
  • Analyses which critical parts need to be in the inventory
  • Fills out the Inventory Request for approval
  • Keeps parts and maintenance manuals up to date for all equipment
  • Follows up on critical parts/inventory request

Planned Corrective Maintenance

  • Evaluate work order request and approves or rejects.
  • Makes sure job requirements are respected and orders parts if necessary
  • Add corrective maintenance work to the weekly schedule according to the backlog of priority work
  • Does a follow up on the work orders to ensure they are closed properly

Maintenance / Personnel Management

  • Ensure all paperwork and records are kept up to date

Order & Inventory Management

  • While Consulting with the Maintenance Manager and supervisors, manage deliveries, and inventory
  • Manage daily, general ordering parts and materials as required to maintain priority inventories.

Procedures, rules and regulations (Health and Safety/Environment) put in place

  • Verifies the adequate procedure(s) for each maintenance to plan
  • Applies the adequate procedure(s)

Requirements:


  • A 2 year technical degree/diploma with 5 years of proven field experience in the mechanical or electrical disciplines
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Strong safety mindset
  • Internal and external customer service skills
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills both verbally and written
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency using Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire new skills and utilize technology to streamline processes
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
  • Possess ethics and integrity with a high degree of professionalism
  • Ability to maintain organization of maintenance schedule and files in a changing environment
  • Able to create alternative solutions to problems
  • Excellent time management and project management skills
  • High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise necessary cost control measures
  • Able to work well under pressure and pays strong attention to details

Job Types:

Salary:
$55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
