Job Purpose
The Junior Technician will be responsible for supporting general packaging automation and inspection technologies, providing set-up and testing of inspection equipment.
The Junior Technician will be responsible for proper handling of client product and completion of all quality testing and verification reports.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Work in a production, warehouse environment and if needed, be able to support onsite (client site) activities when needed
- Setup of inspection equipment and supporting apparatus
- Operate Plan equipment assets; Eagle Xray, Fortress metal detectors, Case sealers, etc.
- Adjust mechanical and electrical 110/220vAC & 12,24vDC equipment as needed
- Build and modify reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
Oversee reclaim activities including, but not limited to;
- Certification of inspection equipment (ICC and RSS)
- Verification of inspection equipment foreign body detection capabilities
- Maintain overall safety of reclaim activities including, all persons working with or around the production area adhere to safety regulations, all radiation safety requirements, and machine/equipment safe handling and operation
- Provide direction to reclaim workforce during reclaim activities to assure highest quality inspection capability and efficiency
- Ensure proper handling of client products and ensure product integrity is adhered too as per the Plan HACCP plan and CCP's identified
- Modify all required documentation and upload to appropriate cloud storage locations
- Always maintain all foreign body test pieces with 100% accuracy
Qualifications
- College or university diploma/degree or equivalent experience;
- Minimum 25 years' experience in an Application Technical role;.
- Solid computer skills with proficiency in the use of MS Office and Mac;
- Excellent time management and organizational skills and the capacity to multitask in a fastpaced environment;
- Ability to manually maneuver heavy, high value equipment;
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills;
- An ability to clearly communicate with team members, provide instructions, and answer questions accurately;
- Good problem solving skills;
- Ability to think quickly, logically and analytically;
- Knowledge of provincial Health & Safety regulations;
Note:
This is an entry-level position, suitable for individuals looking to gain experience in the field inspection technology. Training will be provided to enhance technical skills.
