    This temporary position, from late May to the end of the year, offers a dynamic construction schedule tailored to meet client demands. Work 10-hour shifts with enticing daily overtime and daily travel pay, coupled with travel compensation, to ensure your journeys from home to Whitecourt and back are rewarding and hassle-free.     What would you be doing?

  • Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications to decide on wiring layouts.
  • Cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other electrical conductor enclosures and fixtures.
  • Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors.
  • Position, support , and install equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, panels, fuse enclosures, fire alarms, lighting controls, and auto backup generators.
  • Install, replace, support, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
  • Testing circuits to ensure integrity and safety.

    • Does this sound like you?

  • Have a Journeyperson Electrician certificate.
  • Valid and up-to-date safety tickets: H2S Alive, WHMIS, and Standard First Aid.
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a 5-year Driver's Abstract reflecting less than 5 demerits.
  • Have high regard for personal safety and the safety of company assets and employees.
  • Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
  • Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc.
