Position Overview:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create valuable website products and features for our online users
- Partner with agile development teams to deliver functionality and meet business objectives
- Develop clear user stories, detailed feature specifications, tasks, acceptance criteria and timelines
- Lead projects as required, ensuring deliverables are brought in on time, within budget and quality targets are met
- Develop and maintain the product backlog with a focus on business results
- Prioritize projects and ensure the most important work is being delivered
- Advocate for the product, offer insights, answer questions, and provide clarifications to ensure the vision is being executed
- Act as a key contributor to product design and the overall user experience
- Review work to ensure the development of new features meets business objectives and aligns with corporate strategy
- Keep project within scope and identify when projects appear to be deviating from plan or objectives
- Communicate project status updates to all key stakeholders
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with team members across the organization
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Post-Secondary Education in Business, Marketing, Design, Project Management, Business Analysis, Computing Science, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a Product Manager, Project Owner, Marketing Lead, Digital Marketing, or Project Coordinator role
- Knowledge of user experience (UX) best practices
- Extensive knowledge of Agile best practices
- Experience with backlog management, prioritization, and defect tracking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership, problem solving and decisionmaking skills
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate well with crossfunctional teams
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (A-CSPO) certifications would be an asset
- Experience working in an eCommerce, digital marketing, or SaaS business would be an asset
