The Dietary Worker performs a variety of tasks on helping prepare/serve the food for the residents, clean work areas and assist any residents that need help eating their meals.
Other job duties include delivering food to residents' rooms, preparing and serving snacks and taking inventory of food and kitchen supplies.
Dietary aides must learn the protocols and procedures for the facility.
Performs dietary activities within well established guidelines to ensure that quality standards, safety guidelines and customer service expectations are met.
Reports equipment/cleaning product needs and or malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion.
Is responsible for the safe and proper use of chemicals and adheres to all safety precautions.
Work involves pulling and pushing, carrying weight up to 50 pounds, twisting, bending and reaching.
Essential Functions:
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day
Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents
Must be able to perform day-to-day housekeeping duties including dusting, vacuuming, disinfecting, polishing, emptying wastebaskets, cleaning, replenishing and mopping
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Must practice dependable, regular attendance
High school graduate or equivalent preferred
Prior healthcare experience preferred

Salary:
$17.47-$19.24 per hour
