About the Role


The Program Manager will have the responsibility to lead the Withdrawal Management Services Program (2 locations) for adults over the age of 19 who require supervised withdrawal management support for their alcohol and/or substance use dependence.


The incumbent will insure that policy, procedures, protocols, programs/curriculum, and standards of care reflect best practices and are consistent with safe and effective care delivery principles.

They will provide leadership and clinical supervision to a diverse staff team that includes Licensed Practical Nurses, Withdrawal Management Workers, and Recovery Care Workers across 2 program locations.

The manager will also serve as the licensed site(s) manager, and ensure compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act.


The incumbent ensures that the day-to-day operations of the service are delivered in accordance with The Bridge's philosophy, policies and procedures, and holds the safety and well-being of the people in care as their priority concern.

This position provides ongoing clinical & program supervision, performance coaching and evaluation of all program employees, and, as a member of the agency Leadership Team, participates in a variety of agency initiatives and community and agency committees.


Position:
Full Time 40 hours/week. Rotating on-call after-hours coverage for Recovery & Addiction program sites and LPN support.


Compensation:
$96, $ per year


Indirect Compensation

  • Extended Health and Dental benefits after the 3 month probationary period
  • 9.31% Pension matching after the 3 month probationary period
  • Min. 3 weeks vacation pay which increases with length of service
  • Additional five (5) days of paid leave per year as compensation for Recovery & Addictions rotational oncall responsibilities
  • 1 paid wellness day per year
  • Paid sick time which increases with length of service.

Qualifications

  • Education_
  • Master's degree in a relevant field of study (preferred)
  • Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with active BC Registration (preferred)
  • Experience_
  • 5+ years of management/leadership/supervisory experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in the addictions/substance use treatment field
  • Training and experience providing evidencebased responses to alcohol use disorder, substance use disorder and concurrent disorder.
  • Experience working within or leading facilitybased/residential services
  • Other requirements_
  • Ability to provide proof of COVID19 Vaccination or letter of exemption
  • Ability to provide Criminal Record Check in accordance with agency policy
  • Clean, valid BC driver's license and use of reliable vehicle
