Job Summary
- Printing Services
Key Responsibilities
- Process files received in a variety of digital formats, as well as hard copy documents.
- Review and troubleshoot digital files, liaise with clients for modifications as needed, and provide basic desktop publishing services using templates.
- Utilize software to prepare files for printing, program jobs, and route to appropriate print device.
- Monitor machine operation. Unload print jobs from output trays and route documents to finishing or packaging area. Perform basic equipment maintenance.
- Operate bindery and finishing equipment (e.g., folder, cutter, perforator, and drill), ensuring adherence to specifications to produce high quality, finished products.
Note
- This position requires considerable physical effort including frequent standing, walking, bending, and the ability to safely lift items weighing up to 55 pounds on a daily basis.
Required Qualifications
- Postsecondary diploma in Graphic and Print Production plus three to five years' experience working as part of a team in a print shop environment, including operation of highspeed digital production devices and finishing equipment (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Demonstrated communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, take initiative and prioritize orders to meet deadlines.
- Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Adobe Acrobat and InDesign.
