- Lead and manage municipal infrastructure projects for urban land development, subdivisions, and rural community servicing
- Serve as the primary point of contact for municipal clients, developers, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality across multiple concurrent projects
- Prepare and present technical reports, council submissions, and stakeholder communications
- Technical & Engineering Leadership
- Act as Engineer of Record (EOR) for water, storm, and sanitary infrastructure projects, as appropriate
- Oversee and contribute to planning, preliminary design, detailed design, and construction-phase services
- Ensure designs comply with municipal standards, provincial regulations, and industry best practices
- Multidisciplinary Coordination
- Coordinate civil, environmental, geotechnical, transportation, and electrical disciplines
- Manage internal teams and external subconsultants
- Support constructability reviews, tender preparation, contractor selection, and contract administration
- Lead construction services including site reviews, change management, and project close-out
- Regulatory & Approvals
- Navigate provincial and municipal approval processes in AB, SK, and MB
- Coordinate permitting and approvals with regulators and utility owners
- Ensure environmental, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered or eligible for registration in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and/or Manitoba
- 7+ years of experience in municipal infrastructure engineering, with a strong focus on:
- Water distribution systems
- Stormwater management
- Sanitary sewer systems
- Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary engineering projects
- Proven ability to act as EOR for municipal infrastructure works
- Strong understanding of municipal servicing standards and land development processes
- Experience working with urban municipalities, developers, and rural communities
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Confident communicator with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to lead teams, mentor junior staff, and manage competing priorities
- Practical, solutions-oriented approach to engineering and construction challenges
- Experience with construction logistics, phasing, and cost control
- Familiarity with provincial and municipal procurement and contract delivery models
