The Centre for Business, Arts, and Sciences (CBAS) delivers a range of certificates, including, Business Administration, Administrative Office Professional, General Arts and Science, Exercise Science, and Academic Upgrading, diplomas, and university transfer, together with service courses to students in many other Lethbridge College programs.

    The Centre defines itself through excellence in teaching and learning, fostering curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in all activities: development and renewal of courses and programs, approaches to teaching and learning, and scholarly activity and community engagement by students and faculty.

    Reporting to the Associate Dean, Centre for Business, Arts and Sciences, the coordinator will collaborate with various departments to support events and initiatives, and registration and misconduct processes. The student-focused position will support a diverse group of learners in CBAS programs and courses.

    The position will be located on the main campus at Lethbridge College and will be a member of the CBAS Centre Leadership Team. There may be a requirement to work outside regular college hours including weekend or evening events.

    The primary responsibility for this position is to play an integral role in our commitment to students' educational success and well-being. Position Details We are seeking a person with the background, expertise, and proven ability to be responsible for the following duties:

  • Coordinate the academic misconduct process
  • Support international learners in CBAS, navigate processes including appeals, misconducts, registration
  • Developing and standardizing policies and procedures for PLA reviews and transfer equivalencies for CBAS courses
  • Identify and collaborate to resolve registration issues related to special course requests, three-year plans, prerequisites
  • Support canvas badging for student modules
  • Coordinate CBAS events (NSO, Open House, student showcase, recruitment events, Experiential Learning)
  • Required Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree
  • 3-5 years' experience and expertise in a similar multidisciplinary administrative position(s) in a post-secondary institution
  • Experience working directly with students in relevant areas (international, misconduct)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills that allow you to build relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to develop innovative ideas, approaches and solutions to complex issues while ensuring compliance to college policies and procedures and provincial updates
  • Proven ability to work independently and within a self-managed team. Familiarity with Lethbridge College's core business and program offerings and a commitment to work towards our institutional goals with positivity and enthusiasm
