Vickar Community Chevrolet has an immediate opening for a LIGHT MAINTENANCE TECH & SAFETY REP to join our high-performance team They will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for staff and guests.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform light mechanical building and lot maintenance (eg snow removal/sanding).
Operation of tow truck to move vehicles between areas
Operation of bobcat and frontend loader (experience greatly preferred)
General custodial duties, including garbagecardboardmetal removal, and required COVID19 disinfecting.
Regularly inspect emergency equipment (eg fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, emergency exits, etc)
Regularly inspect premises for safety hazards and required repairs/enhancements.
Participation on the Joint Workplace Safety & Health Committee.
Participation in various facility projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

Valid class 5 MB Driver's License with acceptable driving record (MPI abstract)
Mechanically inclined
Experience in a shop environment.
Previous experience as member of a Joint Workplace Health & Safety Committee, an asset.
Able to effectively work independently throughout full shifts.
