The Village of Tansley Woods, located in Burlington, Ontario, is currently seeking to hire a Program for Active Living Kinesiologist to join their Retirement Home team.

As a new Kinesiologist joining our village, you will:

Support and embrace our resident-centered social culture and be proud to support our Village teams to deliver the highest quality of care to our residents.

Our Kinesiologists coordinate and oversee the Program for Active Living at the Village level which focuses on enhancing the quality of life of our residents and maximizing independence.

Our Kinesiologists design and implement innovative physical and cognitive exercise programs with individual residents and monitors progress.

Kinesiologists at Schlegel Villages work in close collaboration with Physiotherapists, and Occupational Therapists to ensure the needs of the residents are being met.

To be successful as our new Kinesiologist, you will:

• Hold a Degree in Kinesiology with a focus on psychomotor behaviour and exercise rehabilitation
• Demonstrate experience developing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying physical and/or cognitive exercise programs based on the needs of the residents
• Current registration with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario would be an asset

I would be considered an asset if our new Kinesiologist has:

• Experience and/or desire to provide educational sessions/seminars
• Demonstrated experience working with seniors and/or persons with cognitive or physical impairments
