Advanced Upstream is looking for a
Shipping / Receiving Technician to join our team in our Calgary office. Reporting to
Supply Chain Manager, this person will work to support the daily operations of the workshop.

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for shipping and receiving of all Advanced Upstream's products.

Duties will include, but are not limited to, material handling and ensuring order accuracy, on-time shipping & accurately receiving products, assisting in maintaining inventory, following best practices, troubleshooting and being able to think outside the box under minimum supervision.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Preparing paperwork for shipments and accurately process, allocate and ship all customer orders.
  • Ensuring all orders are complete, on time and comply with shipping standards for varying sizes and quantities.
  • Process or issue manual Bill of Lading (if needed) all necessary paperwork including the preparation of instructions for transportation documents, mill certificates etc with each shipment.
  • Receive incoming shipments and verifying their contents and ensuring that they match the packing list and purchase order.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized production facility including inventory
  • Provide equipment maintenance, inspections, and implementations within the production facility ensuring all equipment is ready for use at all times
  • Assist in Assembly and testing of downhole completion tools as needed
  • Assist in quality control as needed
  • Required to be on time and available for overtime as needed
  • Responsible to follow all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures and programs; including but not limited to the process map, support processes, health, safety and environmental requirements.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Experienced in an oil and gas completion tools assembly and shop environment
  • Experienced in International shipping and dealt with custom brokers such as Jori Intl or Cole Intl
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal including problem resolution and motivational skills
  • Must be driven, selfmotivated and have a good attitude
  • Understanding of drawings, machining, fabrication and raw materials
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and departments and exhibit effective communication
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, manage priorities and execute tasks efficiently in a high pace environment
  • Valid class 5 drivers license
  • Technical trades certificate/training
  • Forklift experience and certificate

Working Conditions:


  • Required to wear steel toe boots, safety glasses or side shields, and ear protection in shop environment as required

Physical Requirements:


  • Possible physical requirements: squatting, lifting bending, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling and working near moving equipment
