PURPOSE and SCOPE:


Reporting to MacDon's Manager of Parts Sales and Marketing, this position is responsible for managing a defined territory of agricultural dealers with the goal of significantly increasing parts sales and market share.

This role is an outside sales position based in Winnipeg covering dealers in Manitoba, Ontario, and Eastern Canada.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


The following are the main job responsibilities and priorities that this position must focus on, must achieve and must excel at:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with dealer accounts to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Sell and promote the entire product line offered by both MacDon Parts and Westward Parts
  • Proactively seek out opportunities with existing and potential dealer accounts to assist in growing parts business.
  • Introduce and implement all parts programs to dealers follow up to ensure that participation is maximized.
  • Monitor accounts payable and ensure dealer accounts are kept in good standing.
  • Analyze monthly territory sales results to identify potential opportunities.
  • Provide information on competitive marketplace conditions.
  • Assist Sales team and Product/Supply team to identify new product opportunities in market.
  • Manage territory expenses on a daily and monthly basis.
  • Provide product ideas to Product Managers to be investigated assist with any market information needed to ensure successful launch of new products.
  • Attend industry trade shows to promote both MacDon and Westward Parts
  • Work in cooperation with MacDon Parts, Product Support, and Whole-Goods Sales personnel as required.
  • Assist dealers in developing business growth.
  • Communicate dealer concerns and present potential solutions to ensure quick and effective resolutions.
  • Provide market information to assist with marketbased product pricing.
  • Follow up on sales programs to assist with analysis and provide feedback to enhance and improve future programs.
  • Maintain professional appearance both personal and company vehicle.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting of territory activities and initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Experience in territory management, parts sales, agriculture equipment industry, or related field is an asset.
  • High business acumen.
  • Strong interpersonal skills emphasis on relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent teamwork skills but also comfortable working alone.
  • Proven ability to influence crossfunctional teams without formal authority.
  • Ability to travel extensively within territory.
