As the credit manager, you will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of potential customers, creating credit scoring models, approving and rejecting credit based on credit checks, negotiating payment and pricing terms, and updating the company's credit policy.


The role will include reviewing customer credit exposure on a frequent basis, and keeping management informed of any potential credit concerns.


Responsibilities

  • Work in compliance with laws and regulations, attend and complete all required health and safety training, report all accidents and safety hazards observed. Take every precaution reasonable to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
  • Oversee and ensures all credit policies and procedures are being followed implement new policies and make recommendations for changes as required
  • Performing analysis to identify key risk factors associated with the customer, and make credit decision accordingly.
  • Weekly, and monthly review of accounts receivable aging, assessing for potential credit risk, and making recommendations to management on customer credit limits.
  • Oversee processing of daily, weekly and monthly billing and A/R and receipts
  • Identify account delinquencies, and develop a collections strategy and escalation plan, and standardize a process for identifying high risk accounts prior to default
  • Communicate with finance, sales, and operations on problem accounts and help develop expedient resolutions; enlist their support for resolution of disputes
  • Building strong relationships with all internal and external customers to promote credit sales growth while minimizing bad debt losses
  • Interacting with various credit reporting agencies, and 3rd party credit organizations to ensure the needs of the department and business growth is fulfilled
  • Monitor lien dates for all ongoing customer jobs, and liaison with legal counsel, ensuring liens filed within appropriate deadlines
  • Performs other duties as requested
