Responsibilities:
- Oversee timely processing of invoices, payments, and customer receipts
- Ensure a high degree of accuracy of coding invoices and payments to the correct GL and entity
- Identify areas for process improvement and automation and work with external consultant to implement system enhancements and upgrades
- Develop and implement new procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy in order to keep up with our high growth
- Manage, train & develop a team of AR/AP professionals
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Develop and maintain relationships crossfunctionally and with vendors
- Coordinate and participate in audits and internal controls
- Perform ad hoc analysis or other assigned tasks as directed by the Controller
What you need to succeed:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of similar experience in finance management role at a high volume organization
- Proven track record of process improvements and automation
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inaccruacies among a large volume of transactions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Senior living or real estate industry experience an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other Microsoft suite products
- Experience with ERP systems, specifically Yardi is a plus
