Responsibilities:


  • Oversee timely processing of invoices, payments, and customer receipts
  • Ensure a high degree of accuracy of coding invoices and payments to the correct GL and entity
  • Identify areas for process improvement and automation and work with external consultant to implement system enhancements and upgrades
  • Develop and implement new procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy in order to keep up with our high growth
  • Manage, train & develop a team of AR/AP professionals
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain relationships crossfunctionally and with vendors
  • Coordinate and participate in audits and internal controls
  • Perform ad hoc analysis or other assigned tasks as directed by the Controller

What you need to succeed:


  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of similar experience in finance management role at a high volume organization
  • Proven track record of process improvements and automation
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inaccruacies among a large volume of transactions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Senior living or real estate industry experience an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other Microsoft suite products
  • Experience with ERP systems, specifically Yardi is a plus
