Do you have a passion for Treasury? Reporting to the Senior Manager of Treasury, you will co-ordinate, control and maintain the day-to-day cash management functions within the
LCBO Treasury Department.

About the Role

  • Preparing cash flow forecasts, analyzing variances between actual and forecast, managing daily cash position.
  • Administering the
    LCBO's shortterm investment portfolio.
  • Supporting other departments and the retail stores on banking operational issues.
  • Preparing forecasts for bank fees, credit and debit card processing fees, interest and investment income and analyzing variances between actual and forecast.
  • Performing detailed financial analysis (e.g., lease vs buy analysis) and preparing proposals/reports including recommendations to other departments and senior management.
  • Reconciling debitcredit card processing fee invoices; Preparing period end reports and journal entries.
  • Ensuring compliance with Treasury policies; updating documentation on Treasury processes.
  • Defining requirements and test changes for Oracle Treasury and Hyperion forecasting and daily reporting systems.
  • Participating in annual Disaster Recovery Planning testing of Oracle Treasury, Hyperion Forecasting and daily reporting systems.
About You

  • Postsecondary education in finance, economics, business administration/accounting, mathematics/statistics, and/or computer science together with related experience. Preference may be given for applicants with accounting designations (CPA CA, CPA CMA, and CPA CGA).
  • Working knowledge of foreign exchange exposure management and cash and investment management, performance measurement, and complex financial modelling techniques.
  • Experience in treasury management and financial and operational analysis in the consumer products industry is desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel is required along with a reasonable knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, and Access. A thorough understanding of Oracle Financials and Operating Systems is also required.
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written, and sound analytical, financial modeling and problemsolving skills.
