    The role we are offering you:

    Reporting to the engineering simulation products director, the Engineering Health and Safety Specialist is responsible for all health and safety topics related to flight simulator installations, integration, and tests, both in Montréal and at the customer location. Here are some of the main tasks related to this position:

    • Be the first point of contact for any health and safety matter in Engineering (communication, processes and policies, training, tools, continuous improvement, reporting).
    • Take active leadership, with all stakeholders, of all aspects of Engineering health and safety during all phases of projects execution, particularly during the field activities, at the customer locations. This includes, without being limited to:
      • RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statement) process management.
      • Create the WMS (Work Method Statement).
      • Help project managers with the RAMS opening and the creation of the FDSR (Field Deployment Safety Review).
      • Ensure customer building requirements respect health and safety standards.
      • Ensure the Go-NoGo checklist filter is done.
      • Prepare mitigation plans.
      • Bring recommendations to the committee for the start dates of the work.
      • Follow-up with the Installation Specialists to ensure the health and safety documentation is ready (Lifting plan, health and safety certificates).
      • At the customer site, perform sensibilization and surveillance.

    Our ideal candidate has:

    • A bachelor's degree with specialty in appropriate field (work health and safety, industrial relations, engineering, environment, industrial hygiene).
    • A minimum experience of 5 years in health and safety in a company.
    • Experience in industrial equipment installation.
    • Excellent knowledge of rules and legal standards (AROHS (Act respecting occupational health and safety), RROHS (Regulation respecting occupational health and safety), EQA (Environment Quality Act)).
    • Strong team work and leadership skills, tenacity and the sense of responsibility.
    • Autonomy.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Bilingualism (English/French), written and spoken.
    • The availability for travel to customer sites (1 or 2 times per year).
