What you will do:
- We are looking for technical writers that can support our team of fulltime professionals in writing technical reports that summarize work performed by our clients
- Applicants should be open to work between 10 and 20 hours/week in an independent, flexible hours setting. Opportunities may exist to transition into a fulltime role upon completion of graduate studies.
What you bring to this role:
- Currently pursuing an advanced degree (PhD or Masters) in Engineering (Chemical, Biomedical, Environmental, Mechanical, Computer) or Computer Science
- Strong independent decisionmaking skills; an ability to work with limited information
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including note taking
- Ability to work to a budget and with tight timelines
- Experience working independently and in a crossfunctional team environment
- Strong research skills
- Highly flexible and adaptable
- Prior industry experience obtained through internships or coops (preferred)
- Prior experience writing grants, patents or technical reports (preferred)
