We currently have a key role opportunity within our
Milton processing facility Quality Assurance Department to complement our quality initiatives that will allow continued growth within our business.
You intrinsic character will be driven with self-initiative and a steadfast commitment using hands-on food safety experience while being qualified and ambitious to ensure that our processes, products and employees comply with all governing regulations (OMAFRA), (CFIA), and customer expectations surrounding Food Safety and Quality.
Responsibilities:
- Follow GMP define by SQF/HACCP program.
- Follow and respect SOP define by SQF/HACCP program as training Matrix
- Perform audit compliance according to the SQF/HACCP program
- Report any food safety violation
- Respect and follow company policies and procedures, GMP's, legislated safe work practices and adherence to Ministry of Labour compliance
- Execute Quality Assurance and Food Safety processes as one integrated process onto the productionfloor.
- Ensure that all Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs, procedures are being implemented and adhered to.
- Report and record any deviation define in the program.
- Perform task assigned by the Supervisor, manager (i.e. preoperational inspection, environmental monitoring, verification, plant audit, GMP monitoring, PC, CCP Checks.)
- Support corporate quality and continuous improvement process. Perform necessary tasks related to quality control parameters for the function being performed.
- Develop and maintain a respectable attitude with the operations and assist operations in finding solutions with QA related issues.
Preferred Hiring Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word / Excel, Windows.
- Strong mathematical analytical skill.
- Knowledge and training in HACCP, SQF and GMP's.
- Ability to exercise initiative and prioritize work to maximize efficiency.
- Must be flexible in shift start and shift finish times.
- Preference of Post-Secondary Education relating to Food Science or related discipline.
- Ability to have within three (3) months, the essential techniques and skills needed to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position.
