Job Over view - Project Manager (Toronto)


Xandar Kardian is harnessing the power of radar to greatly impact how buildings are automated and used for maximum energy efficiency & space utilization while also disrupting healthcare with autonomous, contact-free, continuous monitoring.

Our company was founded in 2017 based on research that has been ongoing since 2011, making us the first organization to commercialize radar technology for use in airports, banks, correctional facilities, class A office buildings, shopping malls, long term care facilities and hospitals.

The job applies project management practices and processes to various projects.

Functions would include meeting with a diverse array of project stakeholders, including funding sponsors, project engineers, and technical tradesmen, to brief project planning, budgeting, and resource management efforts, and the status of project execution and deliverables to facilitate the identification of existing and/or new work needed to accomplish the project goals and objectives.

Facilitates and communicates project goals and objectives, including cost, schedule, resource management, technical performance, and deliverables, and must be an excellent communicator.

Documents may be produced at each stage of the project and the Project Manager is responsible to ensure that they conform to regulatory, statutory, sponsor, and stakeholder requirements.


About the Role:


Project Planning:

Determine and define project scope and objectives.
Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.


Resource and Time Management:

Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources (including field technicians) in an effective and efficient manner.
Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements.
Track project costs in order to meet budget.
Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
Managing and building relationships with clients, project teams and field technicians.
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors (including field staff, partner vendors, etc.) for the execution of project objectives.


Reporting and Documentation:

Communicating plans, actions, risks, and issues with key stakeholders.
Prepare project status update report upper management, stakeholders.
Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.


Qualifications:

Bachelor/Master degree in Electrical Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field is required.
At least 2-3 years of related project management or account implementation/account management experience.
Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning.
Thorough understanding of technical/engineering procedures and practices.
Ability to adapt to change.
Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software programs.
Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to act as a team player.


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
