Establishes client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact between PCI and its' Customers. Responsible for working with purchasing, operations, and quality to manage routine commercial orders for a portfolio of Customers. Responsible for ensuring all Customers requirements are satisfied in a timely, accurate and professional manner.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages a portfolio of Customers, acting as the main point of contact for all Customer related inquiries, order status etc.
  • Coordinates information flow between customers and internal departments/individuals to ensure that timely responses are communicated effectively and accurately
  • Develops and fosters relationships with key customer contacts to ensure PCI is considered a partner in the present and future
  • Tracks and expedites nonstandard orders (e.g. product launches/rush requests) to ensure all requirements are in place on time
  • Manages all aspects of the routine order life cycle
  • Works with the client and internal departments to generate and obtain approval on specifications, master documents and artwork
  • Executes change control as needed to support portfolio/sku changes
  • Evaluates customer purchase orders and forecasts and initiates activities including resolution of slow moving and obsolete materials as appropriate
  • Ensures that customer service activities are performed effectively and in a timely manner and that information from the customer is disseminated to the appropriate department(s) within PCI
  • Collaborates with planning/scheduling to ensure activities are effectively planned and coordinated to achieve timely delivery of orders
  • Works with the purchasing team to ensure material readiness to support order delivery
  • Maintains accurate sales order data within the ERP system to support purchasing, scheduling, sales and OTD delivery metrics
  • Manages and ensures overall client satisfaction by meeting or exceeding Customer expectations. Keeps Customers updated on a regular basis regarding the status of their order and keeps them abreast of any changes, as pertains to that order.
  • Maintains accurate customer and item master data in the ERP system
  • Builds and maintains strong internal working relationships
  • Adheres to safety practices and company policies
  • Other duties as required
  • This position may require extra hours and/or weekend work.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.
  • Attendance to work is an essential function of this position
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College or university degree in a related business or science field.
  • 35 years' experience in a customer service or production environment (pharmaceutical industry is an asset).
  • Indepth comprehension, knowledge and understanding of GMP is an asset.
  • Experience with the procurement of materials in the packaging industry.
  • Strong commitment to customer service.
  • Strong PC skills and experience including the ability to use MS Office suite of products, navigate the internet, etc.
  • Working knowledge of an ERP system an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to present professional courteous manner in all dealings both externally and internally.
  • Demonstrates experience in managing and tracking customer orders, from procurement to shipping.
  • Ability to work independently and deal with sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, possess the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Possesses strong English language skills (written and verbal).
  • Mathematical skills usually associated with completion of secondary school required.
  • Math Skills Required.
