Responsibilities:
Location
1 Commerce Valley Dr E, Thornhill, ON L3T 7X- We are hiring for multiple co-op/intern positions that vary between on-site and hybrid - students will be required to work at the Markham office on a schedule based on the needs of the hiring team.
Program Term
- This role is a 4month position
- September 11, 2023 to December 22, 202
- Must be returning to school following the internship
The Role
What you'll be doing
AMD is looking for a student to join us for a Fall 2023 terms and help our Validation and Design team develop groundbreaking microprocessor products.
What would set you a part
- Solid understanding of the basics of computer architecture
- Familiarity with Linux and/or Chrome OS, Ruby/Perl/Python scripting
Requirements:
General Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field/discipline
- Proven interpersonal skills, technical excellence and teamwork
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
- Strong problemsolving skills with an emphasis on product development
- Must be participating in a registered coop program
Technical Qualifications
- Develop debug tools to accelerate the analysis for complex issues.
- Utilize the JTAG tools to analyze, collect and verify the data collected from the Hardware.
- Work to streamline design validation process and debug to reduce the time to market.
- Interact with customers while debugging and supporting issues.
- Work on Silicon platforms to shift left the validation for complex IPs.
- Help to execute manual and automated test cases and triage any failures that may result.
