Description

Manufacturing technicians produce products for the consumer market. They assemble components by hand, add finishing touches to components, and perform quality checks on machine-produced parts.

• Industrial engineering and manufacturing technologists
• Develop and conduct production, inventory and quality assurance programs in manufacturing or in other industries
• Design plant layouts and production facilities
• Develop and carry out work study and related programs
• Develop and carry out industrial health, safety and fire prevention plans and programs and conduct safety training programs
• Industrial engineering and manufacturing technicians
• Assist in the design of plant layouts
• Conduct work measurement or other studies
• Collect and compile operational or experimental data and assist in the development of estimates, schedules, specifications and reports
• Collect and analyze data and samples in support of quality assurance and industrial health and safety programs
• Develop manufacturing and processing procedures and variables, set machine or equipment controls, oversee production and inspect processes.

Responsibilities

• Testing new products and prototypes for quality, functionality, and customer specifications
• Inspecting machinery and production equipment and troubleshooting minor errors
• Collecting and separating waste based on its hazardous properties
• Monitoring product process and suggesting improvements
• Preparing materials required for production
• Setting up the production equipment and assisting the Machine Operatorin handling the machinery
• Maintaining a record of the production logs
• Gathering necessary production documents
• Adhering to the specified production schedule
• Conducting training sessions for team members

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Previous work experience in the Production department is preferred
• Knowledge of production standards and regulations
• Excellent understanding of safety procedures
• Basic understanding of the manufacturing process
• Good communication skills
• Displaying technical expertise
• Ability to work in a stressful environment
• Good time management skills
• Excellent leadership skills

Contract length: 10 months


Salary:
$24.11-$29.84 per hour

• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekend availability

• Saskatoon, SK S7K 8C8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
