Motiontek Industrial is a full service industrial equipment maintenance and engineering company. We provide premium on site services, repairs, installation, and custom automation solutions. We are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician who is driven by customer satisfaction and service success to grow with our company


As a Field Service Technician, you will perform on site field service activities such as installing, troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs.

A successful field service technician must be a self-starter, have excellent troubleshooting skills, strong communication skills, and an ability to adapt to and solve challenges that may arise.

Ultimately, a Motiontek field service technician is expected to provide efficient, professional, and high quality service and repairs for any customer and job.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing and testing customer equipment
  • Repairing, maintaining, and identifying faulty parts
  • Provide preventative maintenance and other regular routine equipment service in the field.
  • Provide technical training on new equipment installations
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures efficiency
  • Responding quickly and efficiently to service requests and field dispatches
  • Build positive relationships with customers through professional communications
  • Understand customer concerns and requirements and make appropriate recommendations and briefings
  • Coordinate with the Motiontek team to share information and collaborate on projects
  • Complete detailed service reports in a timely manner

Requirements:


  • Trade school diploma or college diploma preferred or equivalent experience
  • Electrical and mechanical knowledge required
  • PLC knowledge is an asset
  • Experience working with major automation equipment and packaging equipment
  • Ability read electrical and mechanical manuals and drawings
  • Ability to problemsolve and create alternative solutions to problems
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Ability to travel within the GTA and across Canada, USA, and Europe
  • Ability to work flexible shifts

$25.00-$30.00 per hour
