About the CNE Foundation:


Responsibilities:


Reporting to the Executive Director, the Intern will support the operations of the Foundation, including program implementation, the management of the Foundation's social media activities and facilitating the creation of marketing collateral in support of CNEF programs.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Take a lead role in the implementation of digital marketing initiatives in support of the Foundation's key fundraiser, the Grand CNE 50/50, including the development of graphics (in Canva), and copy for social media posts and eblasts
  • Using a donorcentric approach, develop original content, including videos and written content, to build awareness for the Foundation and its specific charitable programs, communicate impact, engage the community and encourage charitable giving in support of the Foundation's initiatives
  • Capture photos and video footage of Foundation programs during the CNE, including Smiles on Faces program family visits, and baseball, basketball and talent tournament/competition highlights and awards presentations
  • Coordinate content contributions from Foundation colleagues to ensure an interesting and appropriate mix of content, as well as consistent messaging and look and feel
  • Facilitate the development of marketing communications pieces in support of CNEF programs to ensure they are completed on time and on budget, including briefing the CNEF's creative agency, reviewing proofs, seeking feedback and approvals internally, and from partners, and liaising with the printer
  • Select photos and write copy for marketing pieces and website content in alignment with the overall branding and messaging of the Foundation
  • Support the general administration, coordination and logistics of CNEF programs, campaigns and events
  • Communicate with current and potential donors and suppliers, as needed
  • Assist with administrative duties including: facilitating meetings, booking boardrooms, taking phone calls, etc.
  • Assist with generating reports, presentations, etc.
  • Assist with measuring outcomes of programs and reporting back
  • Support the Executive Director with any other projects or initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

Special Conditions:


  • Willingness to work in areas that may contain bright lights, loud noises and crowds of people.

Qualifications & Educational Requirements:


  • Experience and/or education in a field related to Marketing & Communications would be preferred
  • Experience and/or education in a field related to Fundraising Management would be an asset
  • Previous social media work experience would be considered an asset
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Must demonstrate ability to write engaging and optimized written content for social media and eblasts
  • Reliable, enthusiastic and friendly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Selfmotivated
