Brief Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
  • Prep and clean worksite
  • Confident operating power tools and equipment.
  • Clean out site from debris and discarded materials.
  • Complete projects given by the maintenance manager or leads.
  • Carry out manual tasks as required while working indoors and outdoors in all conditions.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects minimum of 40lbs and should be in overall good physical health, lots of walking, standing, crouching, and lifting heavier materials and tools.
  • Ability to communicate any issues or problems to upper management while also being able to work with other staff members to get a particular job completed.
  • Safely work in confined spaces, areas with height and/or at weird angles.

Requirements:


  • Experience in trades operating power tools, and equipment
  • Minimum 1 year construction experience
  • Ability to work and communicate well with others.
  • Equipment Operator Experience/ Certification (Forklift, Reach, Scissor Lift, skid steer)
  • Other Certifications such as WHMIS, Fall Arrest, Confined Space is an asset
  • Ability to lift heavy objects minimum of 40lbs and should be in overall good physical health, lots of walking, standing, crouching, and lifting heavier materials and tools.
  • Must be reliable, hardworking, responsible, energetic and dependable.
  • Daily exposure to typical manufacturing areas will be required and will require the use of personal protective equipment such as steeltoed boots, safety glasses, high visibility vest and hearing protection where required.

  • Secondary School (preferred)
