    Description

    What is the Opportunity?

    Entuitive is seeking a Project Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Project Accountant Team Leader, the Project Accountant is primarily responsible for working with a large portfolio of proj­ects and providing support to the projects principals to help mitigate risk as well as ensure the financial health of the project portfolio.

    What will you do?

    • Conduct project accounting activities such as approving and processing sub-consultant and project related vendor expenses on a paid when paid basis, analyzing, monitoring project profitability, reviewing percent complete and WIP, and responding to information requests from project leads.
    • Support and work closely with assigned project managers to prepare billings, earnings data, adhoc reports, and respond to client requests regarding billings, fees, payment status, billing requirements and collections.
    • Develops and/or manages, in collaboration with team members, a clear and consistent work plan to achieve the project budget, deliverables, and schedule. Actively monitor and assess progress with leadership through all phases of the project.
    • Coordinate and facilitate Project Principal meetings to advise on the financial health of projects and follow up to ensure all actions items identified are completed.
    • Coordinate and follow up with Project Principals to complete the monthly Fee Forecast schedule ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Other duties as required

    Requirements

    What do you need to succeed?

    • 4-8 + years experience working in an AEC firm in a project accountant role
    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent
    • Well versed in all elements of the accounting cycle, knowledgeable with international accounting practices considered an asset.
    • Familiarity with Deltek Vision would be highly desirable.
    • Strong analysis and problem-solving ability to meet client and company needs.
    • Excellent communication and time management skills
    • Knowledge and interest in sustainability considerations for operations is considered an asset
