JOB STATEMENT:


This position has the option to work in our Surrey (Cloverdale) office or work remotely.

Required to reside in the lower mainland.
You will focus on developing accounts by effectively presenting Tritech' s value-added services and benefits to existing customers.


As the Account Manager, you will sell asset and brokerage services to new and existing customers, focusing on your sales targets.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently search for, identify, and develop leads through trusted sources and cold calling to secure sales and load volume to meet/exceed goals.
  • Identifies target markets within designated geographical area.
  • Qualifies/ascertains lists of prospects from Company leads and other publications.
  • Prospects existing and potential customers via aggressive phone sales.
  • Conducts client visitations when required.
  • Obtains pertinent information concerning prospects.
  • Enters new customer data and other sales data for prospective customers into computer database.
  • Negotiate with established and developing customers to secure profitable rates and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the industry, including rates, carriers, load capacities, equipment types, etc.
  • Qualifies feasibility of potential customers based on our capability to service them effectively. Identifies the needs and wants of each potential customer.
  • Develops and maintains positive ongoing relationships with all prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with team members to secure the terms of sale, including negotiating rates, identifying carriers, utilizing specialized equipment, etc.
  • Follow established procedures and protocols regarding all loads to ensure the integrity of the shipment.
  • Provides rates and alternative freight solutions for potential clients.
  • Collaborates with operations department to problemsolve and provide optimal transportation service.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by the Manager.
  • Update internal tracking and reporting systems to maintain accuracy in sales and volume metrics.
  • Provides and supports all service requirements of all assigned Tritech' s Clients exactly to or higher than their expectations.
  • Maximum response time to get back to customers is 20 minutes.
  • Identifies the individual needs and wants of each client for each freight movement.
  • Ensures all necessary information for each order is communicated effectively to all logistics coordinators, Dispatchers, and team members through the appropriate communication channel.
  • Problemsolves client specific freight issues from the point of order placement through to completion.
  • Updates clients as to the status of each order as required.
  • Always maintains the highest professional relations in any dealings with any Tritech' s clients.
  • Solicits referral business from all accounts to solicit new business.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by the Manager.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY AND SKILLS
Effective communication, telephone and organizational skills are required skills for this position. Strong customer orientation coupled with an ability to work effectively in teams is also required. Effective communication skills and a tenacious, persistent personality are also required for successful performance in this position.

Must possess the ability to effectively close sales over the phone and must have the ability to problem-solve and multi-task efficiently.

Additionally, a strong sense of urgency is required. Must be able to operate efficiently in a Windows environment.
