Know your clients' needs inside out, work with them beginning to end, enjoy achievements together - and repeat.We are seeking a Consulting Director with Consumer Banking and/or Capital Markets expertise in the Financial Services industry to join our Advisory Practice in Canada. As many banks who have survived the worst of the financial crisis look to position themselves for growth and prosperity in a new banking landscape, there are many exciting opportunities to work with new and existing clients on strategy, transformation, and delivery engagements. With consolidation, regulation, technology advances and significant market-level change, this role is well positioned.
The role will involve applying personal and corporate knowledge and experience to tailor solutions and build partnerships helping our clients gain competitive advantage in their markets. You will help business and technology executives solve key problems within the financial services industry, mentor junior consultants, while building the practice and your career at one of the best places to work.

10+ combined years of Financial Services industry and professional services consulting experience including client delivery

Retail bank, credit union, or private equity experience within the Financial Services industry is required

Experience effectively leading organizations or teams through change

Actively lead and participate in business development with prospective clients including solution definition, proposal development, pre-sale client meetings, and development of statements of work all to achieve revenue generation goals

Collaborate with Sellers/Account Owners, Practice Leads and other Avanade solution areas to develop and present impactful solution offerings for prospective clients

Partner with regional sales leaders in identifying and closing new opportunities within existing clients as well as drive growth in whitespace account

Drive billable revenue through advisory work (3% of time allocation)

Communicate and report pipeline status to advisory executives and management, including budget, risks, and general business issues

Analyze client's business needs to identify the underlying problems and recommend optimal solutions

Understand the underlying technologies used in consumer banking & capital markets in order to effectively guide vision and roadmap development for clients

Build on new client successes to scale business development capabilities within the Canada Advisory region (inclusive of Insurance + Capital Markets)

Manage and mentor consultants in effective prospecting and selling impactful solutions to financial services organizations

Partner with Practice Leads to define and target the needs of our financial services target audience
