    Detailed Job Description:

  • Design, implement, and maintain best-in-class middleware service layer solutions using API management platforms such as Microsoft Azure API Management.
  • Develop and maintain API endpoints, policies, and workflows to facilitate the integration of systems and applications.
  • Implement security controls and authentication mechanisms to protect APIs and ensure data privacy and integrity.
  • Monitor API performance, availability, and usage metrics, optimizing API designs and configurations as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define integration requirements, standards, and protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to middleware and integration processes, ensuring the reliability and stability of deployed solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in middleware and integration, evaluating their potential impact on our integration architecture and strategies.
  • Skills & Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or the equivalent.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in middleware development or integration engineering.
  • Strong understanding of API management concepts and platforms, such as Microsoft Azure API Management, Boomi, or MuleSoft.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with integration technologies and protocols, such as REST, SOAP, GraphQL, JSON, XML, and message queuing systems.
  • Familiarity with security standards and best practices for API authentication, authorization, and encryption.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French. The requirement of another language is required for this position as the candidate will be required to interact and communicate with clients, suppliers and colleagues throughout North America.
  • Dedicated team player and a passionate problem solver with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience within the logistics industry is an asset.
