Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving the operational uptime of systems through expanded PPM programs. The Maintenance Technician role will maintain CNC and Automation Cells in our FOF/Molds Facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/Areas of Accountability:


  • Maintain all Automated CNC equipment and supporting auxiliary equipment to achieve all TEEP goals for the Cells.
  • Maintain a robust PDM program to support our TEEP goals and overall health of our Capital Investment.
  • Complete a variety of analyses (ie. vibration and heat analysis) and use and interpret data and analytics to proactively detect equipment or machine failures and identify corrective action/cost savings. These activities will support the above implementation of a robust PDM program on our CNC and Automation Cells.
  • Monitor and participate in ensuring all Key Performance Indicators (Safety, Quality and Productivity) are being achieved as related to our CNC and Automation Cells.
  • Work closely with integrators to support the integration of advanced technologies and ensure we are fully partnered on any solutions put in place.
  • Troubleshoot software (and electrical and electronic control systems issues as required), provide detailed/recommended corrective action and identify potential risks to similar processes.
  • Repair, exchange and restart software (as necessary).
  • Solve problems / recognize opportunities with other teams as required.
  • Solve problems relative to diagnostic software.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the maintenance strategy and provide recommendations to Maintenance Team Leaders.
  • Lead troubleshooting by identifying root cause of issues and qualifying corrective actions across processes, relevant to the individual's scope of responsibility.
  • Liaise with suppliers and direct subtrades.
  • Troubleshoot and repair machine problems independently.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance for production.
  • Assist in new equipment installation and commissioning.
  • Create and complete Request to Purchase forms for repairs as required.
  • Create and complete work orders and enter data into CMMS.
  • Refine existing work processes/procedures for existing machines, including Preventative Maintenance Procedures
  • Perform root cause analysis/troubleshooting/safety and problemsolving of quality errors.
  • Transfer and share knowledge with other team members
  • Support Kaizen and 5S events to ensure continuous improvement and growth.
  • Support EH&S initiatives throughout the facility, ensuring safety, housekeeping and quality standards are maintained.

EDUCATION:
Electromechanical Engineering Technician, Mechatronics, Robotics.


EXPERIENCE

  • 35 years' experience with CNC equipment with Fanuc, Siemens Controls.
  • 35 years' experience with Fanuc/Kuka Robots Programming and Troubleshooting an asset.
  • 515 years' experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, Heat Treat, and electrical systems.
  • Red Seal Millwright an asset.

QUALIFICATION

  • Ability to support in the implementation of software solutions that are stable, performant, welldocumented, and easily maintained.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • A versatile learner, receptive to change and able to pick up new technical knowledge quickly.
  • Committed to achieving targets in alignment with Husky's values.
  • Understands various communication networks.
  • Comfortable interacting with various teams.

Qualifications considered an asset:


  • Ability to manage one's time independently for maximum productivity.
  • Knowledge of equipment: mechanical, CNC maintenance, electrical, control/safety.
  • Understanding of assembly procedures, knowledge of assembly workflows and sequencing of activities an asset.
  • Able to read, interpret, and create schematics; hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical.
  • Able to detect problems, errors, and conflicts within complex blueprints.
  • Able to validate machinery / facility operation and conformance to Husky Quality standards.

$21.40-$30.00 per hour
