Position Summary:

Library Technicians work independently to maintain the school library and work collaboratively with Teachers to support programming.


Job Duties/Responsibilities:

- maintaining the library collection for both students and teacher resources
- coordinating book fairs and or guest presenters
- selecting, purchasing, and organizing new resources
- providing one-on-one and small group support to students
- undertaking routine circulation duties and entering data into the catalogue system


Education/Qualifications:

- a diploma in Library and Information Technology
- a minimum of one year related experience preferably in a school environment
- strong technical abilities using Microsoft Office and automated library systems
- excellent communication and collaborative skills


Rate of Pay:

$ $21.96 per hour


Nature of Work:

- hourly, on-call work - up to 7 hours per day, Monday
  • Friday
- long term part-time and full-time assignments
- benefits eligibility for long term assignments extending beyond 25 days
