    Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC's Technology and Operations division. GFT's impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.

    What will you do?

    • As Director of Software Development for the Policy & Governance Technology department you will be integral in promoting a strong culture focused on process governance, collaboration, innovation, and stakeholder success
    • Work with business stakeholders across Operational Risk, Regulatory Compliance, Privacy, IT Risk to align their strategic and regulatory goals through the successful implementation of Archer or a similar enterprise GRC technologies
    • Work with the platform head, architects, and development leads to expand strategic roadmap and business capabilities
    • Establish and maintain a cadence of sessions focused on transformation of and adherence to our SDLC and change management processes
    • Identify new opportunities to uplift our team and to better promote our current initiatives
    • Manage software development team of developers and business system analysts

    What do you need to succeed?

    Must-have

    • 5+ years leading software development teams across a portfolio of initiatives
    • Strong background in key domains of Governance, Risk, and Compliance with a focus on process design and software development in this space
    • Strong communication and soft skills are necessary to work collaboratively across multiple teams
    • Strong presentation, PowerPoint, and data modelling skills
    • Strong aptitude for Archer or similar GRC technologies

    Nice-to-have

    • Full Stack development experience
    • Experience in front end development (JavaScript, html, CSS, Angular, React)
    • Experience with UX/UI focused design and planning
    • End to end software development and delivery planning
    • Network and Infrastructure experience
    • Data Insights and Analytics technology experience
    • Experience with API/Webservices
