Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced hands-on Production Floor Supervisor to join our team.

The Production Floor Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations on the production floor, ensuring productivity targets are met, and maintaining quality standards.

DUTIES:

Organizing, monitoring, and prioritizing tasks to meet production goals
Measure and weigh raw materials according to formulations and recipes.
Mix and blend raw materials to produce paint batches of specified color, consistency, and quality
Build continuous improvement strategies in the processes
Confirm cartons, carton seals, code date, and correct components are used.
Perform the QC for each and prepare the proper documentation
Maintain shift logs of production (how many units of each product were produced).
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and warehouse
Develop work teams focused on meeting the strategic goals of the business
Ensure the safety of people and processes.
Manage human and capital resources.

SKILLS, INTERESTS, VALUES:

Good health and stamina.
A high degree of coordination and manual dexterity.
The ability to work steadily and safely in a fast pace environment.
The ability to perform routine tasks, while remaining alert and flexible.
The ability to read and understand written specifications and instructions.
Some mechanical aptitude for maintaining the equipment would be an asset.
Ability to work with others and give good direction when needed.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

On the job training will be provided and monitored for a period of time before the production workers is ready to work independently.
5+ years of experience in batch processes in the chemical industry is desirable
23 years in a supervisory role

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
