We are seeking someone who can navigate a transaction from inception to close:

planning for and managing due diligence, drafting transaction documents, strategizing for and leading negotiations, getting alignment from all internal stakeholders, providing regular reports on deal status, handling closings, and attending to post-closing matters.

To the extent appropriate, you would also handle integration planning, implementation and execution.

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work on multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment.

When you can't recall, or are not familiar with, the information you need, legal research should be another area you easily navigate.

**Qualifications: - Canadian Juris Doctorate degree

  • Current license to practice law in at least one Canadian province (ideally Ontario)
  • 610 years' experience in law firm or corporate setting
  • Proven experience in mergers and acquisitions of all types, sizes and complexities
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and successfully manage multiple transactions at a consistently superior level
  • Wellversed in corporate governance and commercial contracting
  • Superior negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate complex legal issues to business units in an understandable, practical way
  • Ability to be flexible and change quickly based on shifting business priorities
  • Comfort working in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including selfconfidence, clear communication (including giving and receiving feedback constructively), conflict management, problem solving, decision making and assertiveness
  • Intangible skills, including sound judgment, intuition, integrity, curiosity, agility, creativity, humility and an ability to thrive in challenging and ambiguous situations
  • Proven ability to serve as a strong business partner and history of building trust with others
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working in a global organization
  • Medical device, pharma or healthcare background

While this is a highlight of what you'll do, what you'll gain is pretty great too:

  • Competitive compensation & benefits
  • Career path planning & mentorship
  • Awardwinning work/life balance
  • International business exposure
  • An amazing team of colleagues and leaders
