Reporting to the VP of Finance and Operations, the Finance Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of the finance department.
YOUR ROLE
- Assists with the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks
- Retain constant awareness of the company's financial position and make recommendations to prevent problems
- Assist with the design and maintenance the company's finance IT system
- Lead annual audit and preparation of annual financial statements
- Assist with developing and maintaining internal control best practices
- Lead preparation of timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to upper executives
- Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines
Desired Skills and Experience
- CPA or in the final stages of completing the CPA program
- 5+ years of experience working in a finance role with similar responsibilities to what is described above.
- You need to have experience producing a variety of financial reports including consolidated financial statements.
- A strong knowledge of IFRS and the ability to understand and convey the impact of new or changing standards on the company's financial reporting.
