RAPS is Seeking a Community Rehabilitation Worker Level 2 (S29)_

Location:_Northeast Edmonton (Schonsee)_

-
Days & Hours:_


  • Wednesday/Friday: 7:00pm10:00pm_
  • Saturday/Sunday: 11:00am3:00pm_
- _Duties include but are not limited to_
- _Assist and encourage independent living skills (personal hygiene, chores, laundry, grocery shopping, e.c.t)._
- _Plan engaging activities, and prepare the necessary materials._
- _Explore inclusive opportunities within the community (volunteer & employment)._
- _Assist with expressive communication._
- _Help to develop and maintain friendships with peers._
- _Provide supervision and companionship._

Qualifications and Other Requirements:_

- _Community Support Worker Certificate or a background in Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy and/or Education._
- _Recent Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerable Sector._
- _A minimum of 2 years of direct support experience with developmental disabilities_
- _Valid driver's license/vehicle ($2 million insurance)._
- _Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain shortly after hire)._
- _Be non-smoker and fully vaccinated against covid-19._

  • Preference given to those who are able to communicate in various ways including the use of iPads, visual scheduling, verbal communication, and basic sign language to support expressive communication skills. Must be able to plan activities, and come prepared with materials._

Rate of Pay: $25.25/Hour_
