Legal Operations Analyst - Knowledge Management


Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Developing the utilization of existing/new assets, KM programs, and tools
  • Proposing systems, tools, and processes to manage Legal knowledge in support of legal practices
  • Supporting data analytics initiatives with an understanding of taxonomy development and management
  • Analyze metrics to assess the impact of knowledge sharing efforts, to identify areas for improvement, refine processes, and implement changes to optimize KM practices within the organization
  • Enforcement of the information lifecycle within the content management systems and repositories
  • Integrate taxonomies into KM solutions to facilitate search, discovery, and analysis

Support the KM program by preparing, maintaining, and executing plans for knowledge and information asset development based on practice area bespoke project roadmaps

  • Conduct research with users and stakeholders to understand the current state of KM and gather feedback
  • Audit and inventory content to make recommendations for future readability, suitability, and findability

Portfolio administration and reporting

  • Providing regular updates on metrics, including analysis of metrics and recommendations to the KM lead
  • Assisting in the creation and execution of project plans, defining scope, objectives, KPIs, schedule, stakeholders, and milestones
  • Identifying risks and spearheading mitigation actions
  • Spearheading adhoc KM initiatives and projects

Participating in all aspects of KM related technology development, such as

  • Interviewing stakeholders, preparing reports, gap analysis, and recommendations
  • Contributing to design of new and existing technology platforms

Supporting the KM Lead, in change management initiatives

  • Supporting change management workstreams to build awareness and drive usage of assets, programs, and tools
  • Providing recommendations and feedback to the KM Lead and project leads on process efficiencies
  • Provide training and coaching to content contributors to support knowledge management standards of excellence
  • Building relationships and effectively collaborating with a variety of stakeholders in One Legal and more broadly within Equinix, and externally with consultants and vendors where necessary
  • Providing guidance and leadership to KM projects, implementing valuable process and project improvement initiatives
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of key KM initiatives in a capacity as a core team member and SME in KM

Qualifications

  • Degree/qualifications in a related field, such as Master of Library Science, Information studies, Professional Writing, Technical Writing or Knowledge Management
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a KM environment, supporting projects and change management initiatives, with at least 1 year in a legal or professional services environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Working knowledge of SharePoint and Teams would be beneficial. Experience using Document Management Systems, iManage
  • Confidence in working with and presenting to professionals. Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels of the organization
  • An energetic, proactive, and positive approach to all activities. Demonstrated "can do" attitude to ensure tasks and activities are managed with the utmost efficiency and effectiveness
  • High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
  • Collaborative, flexible and adaptable
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks/deadlines as they relate to projects
