The HR Administrator supports the Human Resources team to provide a diverse range of programs, policies and procedures related to human resources planning, performance management, recruitment, training and development, recognition, wellness, and HRIS administration.


Your role will be to:

  • Support the development and implementation of HR programs including recruitment, performance management, learning & development, policies & procedures, benefits, health and wellness, mentorship and rewards & recognition programs.
  • Administer the full cycle recruitment and selection process including working collaboratively with managers to post jobs, schedule interviews, screen applicants, and conduct interviews.
  • Assist in the development of employee training sessions on HR programs including policies & procedures, benefits, compensation and soft skills.
  • Coordinate the internship program for both CA & US.
  • Maintain and administer employee corporate memberships.
  • Develop turnover, recruitment metrics, sick leave and adhoc reports.
  • Coordinate the onboarding of new staff including creation of personnel files, facilitation of orientation processes and enrolment into HRIS.
  • Coordinate the employee offboarding process relating to terminations including conducting exit interviews.
  • Support the creation, maintenance and administration of training and HR manuals, policies and employee handbooks.
  • Clarify roles and accountability through the development of job descriptions to improve individual, departmental and organizational capability.
  • Conduct research for policies, training, strategic planning and other human resource initiatives.
  • Research, recommend and administer government grant programs.
  • Maintain employee training records and complete follow ups as required.
  • Enter and maintain data into Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and related systems.
  • Assist with the administration of salary and benefit programs for Canada and the US.
  • Administer benefits including enrollments, changes and terminations.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Post Secondary education in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related discipline.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working in Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of provincial and federal regulations.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as Windows, Office, etc.
  • Able to work in a fastpaced environment with tight and/or shifting deadlines.
  • Must be resourceful and have strong troubleshooting skills and be up to date on the latest technology.
  • Must be selfmotivated, well organized and possess an attention to detail
  • Able to work well under pressure, work independently and complete projects within the established deadlines.
  • CHRP designation or CHRP in progress is considered an asset.
