Job Summary

As a General Labourer at Metform, you will be responsible to complete general housekeeping activities and other shop related tasks as requested to assist in the manufacturing of custom built roll forming equipment.

Maintaining clean and safe work areas, operating equipment in a safe and productive manner by being organized and self-motivated with the ability to pay close attention to details.

Responsibilities:

General housekeeping, Sweeping, Garbage Collection, shipping material disposal, cleaning, organizing materials.
Grounds keeping, making sure walkways are clear of snow/ice and salted in the winter. making sure the shipping yard is clean, clear of debris and obstructions in the Spring/Summer/Fall.
Assist Shipping and Receiving with Packing or Unpacking, organizing materials.
Assist assembly department with moving materials or components around, putting away left over material, cleaning equipment and assembly areas, painting, small assembly tasks, and any other duties as requested.
Assist with some Building Maintenance activities, light handyman work, furniture moving, organizing janitorial supplies,
Any additional tasks as requested by Supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications

23 years minimum experience of working in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
23 years minimum experience working around industrial equipment.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, previous Forklift certification would be an asset.
Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment operation.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Good communication skills and ability to work well individually or part of a team.
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Salary:
$18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
