Barber Collins security is looking for a full time day Security Guard to work during the week at a client facility doing concierge work_.

Shifts
Monday to Thursday 8 am to 5 pm and Fridays from 8 am to 5 pm

  • 44 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday
  • Day position

Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for any inbound/outbound mail reception/tracking.
  • Greet any customers, clients, guests, etc. at the front entrance and provide access control as required.
  • Conduct regular checks that occur weekly and monthly regarding the building security and equipment.
  • Manage any building incident management and escalation.
  • Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Perform concierge type duties.
  • Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
  • Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
  • Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
  • Access control for the facility/area.
  • Ensuring that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies.
  • Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decisionmaking ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.

Skills:


  • Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
  • Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field.
  • Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
  • Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
  • Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
  • Integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones.
  • Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week


Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
