Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient
- centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview:

Under the general direction of the Director of Maintenance Services, the incumbent is responsible for the coordination, direction and control of all maintenance activities, execution of repairs and preventive maintenance (under the jurisdiction of the Electrical Shop) required throughout the Centre

Other activities include:

preparing reports and estimates, performing routine inspections, supervising and training shop staff in the operation, repair and preventive maintenance of building systems, and scheduling of staff.

Experience:

Plumbing Shop:
_

Minimum of seven years' experience as a plumber, with at least five years' experience in a recognized management capacity.
Mechanical (plumbing) building systems including, but not limited to, domestic hot and cold water, sewer and storm water handling, hot and coldwater space heating, steam (for heating and process), medical and lab gasses, reverse osmosis and process water, fire suppression and other specialty building liquid safety systems, required.

Environmental Systems Shop:
_

Minimum of seven years' experience as a mechanical or instrumentation technologist, with at least five years' experience in a recognized management capacity.
Environmental building systems including, but not limited to, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, airborne isolation and protective ventilation, washroom, lab and other specialty exhaust, pumping and fan systems including air filtration, fire and smoke damper controls, and other specialty building ventilation systems required.

Electrical Shop:
_

Minimum of seven years' experience as an electrician, with at least five years' experience in a recognized management capacity.
Electrical building systems including, but not limited to, normal and emergency power systems, electrical equipment switchgear, distribution, transformation and monitoring, uninterruptible power systems, emergency power generation, distribution and transformation, clock systems, and other specialty building electrical and life support systems, required.

Electronic Shop:
_

Minimum of seven years' experience as an electronics technician or electrician, with at least five years' experience in a recognized management capacity.
Electronic building systems including, but not limited to, fire alarm, access control video surveillance, nurse call systems, network and data communications systems, public address systems, intercom, panic alarms, wireless communication and tracking and other specialty building communication and life safety systems, required.

- _Architectural Shop and Projects:_

Minimum of seven years' experience as a General Contractor or Project Manager/Foreman (Carpentry) and/or in a professional capacity with demonstrated leadership, administrative, interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Mechanical Technology Diploma and eligible for registration with the Certified Technicians and Technologists Association of Manitoba (CTTAM) or a Manitoba Journeyman Industrial Mechanic, Plumber or Steamfitter certificate required.
